Ventura County Baseball

My camera and I spent the summer of 2021 following the seasons of the three teams within the Ventura County Pirates organization. The summer ball program provides student athletes with an opportunity to develop their talents and character during their offseason, helping them reach new peaks in their careers. After claiming the 2019 Sunset Baseball League championship, the following campaign was completely suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily, summer baseball returned in 2021, and I had the privilege of immersing myself in the Ventura County dugout to capture these talented men enjoying America's pastime and fighting to defend their championship.
